Recycled Textiles Program

About

In Broome over 1 truck a week of clothing is currently sent to landfill. Let's help to change this! Calling all sewers, knitters & crocheters - this program will currently focus on making pouches for animals affected by the bush fires. We will be following the guidance of the Animal Rescue Collective Craft Guild. We will be holding this space every Tuesday from 5.30-7pm for people to come together and create these much needed items for animals who have suffered in the bush fires. BYO sewing equipment. People are also welcome to come and collect a kit to work on a project in their own time. We are also seeking material donations, especially material made from 100% natural fibres (think linen, cotton, silk, bamboo). Please drop off to Broome CIRCLE between the hours of 8am-4pm. If you want to get involved but sewing/knitting/crocheting isn't your thing? Help us sort material and create kits. There is something to do for everybody. Any questions call 9193-6425 or email bec@broomecircle.org.au
